The White House says President Trump has no intention of firing Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Deputy White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders made the comments Tuesday while on a return flight to D.C.

Mueller was appointed in May to investigate Russian interference, and possible collusion in the 2016 election.

Republican officials raised issues of “fairness” in the probe earlier this week after it was revealed that four members of Mueller’s team had donated to the democratic campaign.
